Universal Mixed Martial Arts

Universal Mixed Martial Arts is located at 114-10 Liberty Ave in South Richmond Hill, NY 11419, serving students from South Richmond Hill, Jamaica, Ozone Park, Kew Gardens, Elmont, Floral Park, and Astoria. Instruction at the academy features Master D. Persaud (also called Teacher or Sifu Persaud), who has been a leading force at the South Richmond Hill academy since 2003, alongside Teacher and Sensei Johann. Rather than separating students into single-style tracks, the academy teaches a unified mixed martial arts curriculum that combines striking, grappling, throwing, footwork, self-defense, and traditional weapons training. Disciplines integrated into the system include Karate, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Grappling, Wing Chun, Aikido, and Invincible Kune Do. Programming is organized into Youth Mixed Martial Arts, Adult Martial Arts, an After School Program, and summer programs, with free introductory trial classes available for both youth and adults.
