Trials MMA

Trials Martial Arts and Fitness, known as Trials MMA, is located at 2649 East Mulberry Street in Fort Collins, Colorado. The academy was founded in 2010 by International Fight League 155-pound world champion Ryan Schultz alongside professional fighters Ed Herman and Reed O'Malley, with longtime student and competitor Jerrod Hardy joining the Schultz family as an ownership partner in 2016. Ryan Schultz, Head Jiu-Jitsu Instructor Steve Peters, and coach Rustin Hughes all hold Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts under multiple-time world champion Professor Fabiano Scherner. The grappling curriculum centers on American Jiu Jitsu and No-Gi Submission Grappling, combining traditional Brazilian and Japanese jiu-jitsu fundamentals with wrestling takedowns, top pressure, and leg entanglements. Additional programs at the Fort Collins facility include Kids American Jiu Jitsu, Champs Kids MMA, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Enduro Kickboxing, and an invite-only MMA Competition Team.
